Doctorate

Are you planning to write a dissertation or already working on your doctorate? Then you will find helpful information about it here. Please also check out our workshop on doctoral studies, which usually takes place every semester.

Currently, it is only possible to do a doctorate at universities. The prerequisite for this is usually a recognised university Master's degree with good grades. Doctoral programmes are not offered at universities of applied sciences, which is why some cooperate with domestic and foreign universities.

However, if you have sufficient academic qualifications, access is also possible with a Master's degree from another type of university. More information can be found on the swissuniversities website:
